Finding villas for sale in Spain is relatively easy, it is choosing the right location that is usually the difficult part. The problem is that there are so many great locations in Spain that narrowing your choice down to just one can be problematic. For example, do you choose to live in a city or a smaller village? Is a place near the sea your dream location, or would you prefer a villa in the amazing countryside? In order to help you make a decision, here are some details on five locations - Andalucia, Almeria, Costa Brava, Costa Del Sol, and Costa Blanca ? and why they may be the perfect choice for you.
.Andalucia is an autonomous region of Spain that has remained largely untouched by tourism until recently. This means that it retains many of traditional agricultural features. On top of this it has some beautiful and unspoilt beaches and the countryside is truly magnificent. It been under the rule of many different cultures ? including Roman and Muslim ? and therefore has some spectacular monuments and historic sites, including the Mezquita in Corba and the Plaza de Espana in Seville. It also has some amazing cities, such as Seville, that are expanding economically and yet still have traditional areas.
.Almeria is also situated in the Andalucia region in the south east of Spain. The capital city of the region is also called Almeria, and is a vibrant, lively city. This area is the driest and often the hottest region of Spain, so if you are looking for year-round sun you will find it here. As with Andalucia, Almeria has a fascinating history and therefore some amazing ancient sites and architectural features. The city of Almeria is as attractive as the surrounding countryside. However, it is a modern, exciting city offering all the benefits of city-life. Almeria has a major port offering excursions to North Africa and other destinations. There is also an international airport here that offers flights to British destinations if you need to return to the UK for any reason.
.In the Northeast of Catalonia, there is a coastal region known as Costa Brava, which may also be a good choice if you are thinking of moving to Spain. Once again it has some good tourist areas, such as the ever-popular Lloret de Mar, where you can find crowded beaches that are ideal for families. However if you want something a little quieter you can visit the town of Cadaques, which has become something of an artist's paradise and has some fantastic scenery. A good thing about the area is that it that environmental protection is taken very seriously. This means that many of the breathtaking areas are protected from commercial development and will remain that way.
.Costa del Sol, in the North of Spain, is possibly one of Spain's most popular holiday destinations. It is also a very different place to live than the places previously mentioned. Because of the tourism the Costa del Sol is heavy urbanised with flat, whitewashed buildings. However if you're looking for somewhere more built up and with a thriving nightlife, this may be the place for you. This area has also become extremely popular for golfers, so if you fancy a few rounds now and then this could be the ideal location.
.Finally there is Costa Blanca. If you are looking for miles of beaches this is the place to live; the beaches here stretch for over 500 kilometres. This area also includes the popular holiday destination of Benidorm and Alicante. Because of the huge influence of tourism this is the ideal place to buy a holiday home if you are planning to rent it out for some of the summer months. Alternatively if you intend to live and work in the tourist industry in Spain this may also be the ideal place for you.
