Washing Hair With Conditioner

    View:
Hair conditioner is product that is supposed to improve the texture and appearance of human hair. Hair conditioners, unlike shampoos, bind to the hair and don't completely wash out in order to give the hair the desired appearance. Most people use this product because your hair is one thing you don't want squeaky clean. The real function of a good hair conditioner is to treat the hair after shampooing and help tame it for the next grooming process; combing, drying, curling, straightening etc.

Conditioners, similar to shampoos, comes in various forms. Again you can find products specific to the result you are looking for. Although the original purpose of hair conditioners was to just help detangle clean hair, you can now get one that will solve one of the many problems you may have. Do you need a moisturizer? reconstructer? detangler? glosser? thermal protector? Do you have coarse? super curly? very dry? very fine? thinning? frizzy? or colored? hair. There is a product out there for you!! Just remember the conditioner is leaving product on your hair, whether it is a lot for dry hair or light for fine hair, to give it the appearance of luster and gloss.

If you have curly, coarse, dry or damaged hair, try to condition every time you shampoo or wet your hair. Obviously a moisturizing conditioner would be best for you. You may also want to consider deep conditioners. Fine or limp hair can actually do without conditioner. You may just need a detangler if that is your problem. If you do use a conditioner be sure to apply it only to the ends to mid shaft of your hair. This will prevent a greasy oily look you want to avoid.

- For best results, apply hair conditioner to wet hair after you have squeezed out most of the water.

- Take some conditioner in your hands and work it through your hair. For normal hair start half way up the shaft and pull through to the ends. For a dry scalp or very dry and damaged hair use it on the entire length of your hair including the scalp.

- Rinse out conditioner with cool, not warm or hot, water to get a shiny mane.

- Cover your hair with conditioner right before a swim to protect it from the harsh pool chemicals.

Homemade Treatment for the hair conditioner

Tropical Conditioner - To mix mashed avocado with the coconut milk and mash together upto it make smooth and thick as shampoo. Comb it through the hair and let sit for 10 -15 minutes and wash out.

Coconut oil - To heat up virgin coconut oil and putting it on hair for the 15 minutes as a hot oil treatment which makes the hair shiny and silky.

To mix the mashed avocado with coconut milk and mash together up to when it make smooth and thick as shampoo. Comb it through the hair and let sit for 10 -15 minutes and wash out.

Protein Conditioner - Beat 1 egg white until foamy then add 5 tablespoons of plain natural yogurt and apply to hair in small sections at a time. Leave in for 15 minutes and then rinse it properly.

Apple Cider Vinegar - Mix 1/2 to 3/4 cup vinegar diluted with about 1/2 cup water. First rinse hair with shampoo and then pour on the vinegar let it sit about a minute and then rinse out the vinegar and then shampoo again.

Normally contain protein. Hydrolyzed human hair keratin protein is the best source, because it contains all 19 amino acids found in the hair. Human hair keratin protein has a low molecular weight. This enables the it to penetrate the hair shaft (the cortex). The main purpose of a reconstructor is to strengthen the hair. Pack conditioners, heavy and thick, with high content of surfactants able to bind to the hair structure and "glue" the hair surface scales together. These are usually applied to the hair for longer time. The surfactants are based on long straight aliphatic chains similar to saturated fatty acids. Their molecules have tendency to crystallize easily, giving the conditioner higher viscosity, and they tend to form thicker layers on the hair surface.

If you're out of conditioner, or you want to avoid the chemicals in commercial conditioners, try using natural conditioners like mayonnaise or olive oil. Buy a separate deep or leave-in conditioner to use once a week. If your hair is fine, use it in the shower and rinse it out immediately, the way you do with normal conditioner. The drier your hair is, however, the longer you'll want to leave it in.
