Water is heavenly to quench your thirst and add life in you. Coining water as a life-giving liquid is very much justifiable because no water indeed means, no life under the sun. Is there any living organism that can do without water? Even in the scorching heat of the deserts the plants and animals living there have their very own storage mechanism of water to use it as required.



End to extra pounds

Now all these attributes of water are mostly known. But have you ever come across the interesting fact that water can be a medium of shedding extra pounds? Isn't it great?

Actually water keeps you fit and refreshed and it clears your internal system. This plays a vital role in adding a charm to your body shape and definitely regulates your body weight. How can you really enhance the metabolic rate by drinking a sufficient amount of water regularly?

Activating metabolism

To allow your digestive system to function well and maintain a balance in the fluid content of your body, water plays the key role. And when it comes to boosting the level of metabolic activities, the requirement of water is precisely more. When you drink more glasses of water it helps the fat to break down easily into minute particles and get diluted. Hence the scope of fat deposition in the tissues remains less.

Minimum of eight glasses of water

A 10 oz glass should be the measurement unit and you must consume eight glasses of water daily. Water burns fat and keeps your liver and kidneys healthy.

You must know one very important thing that the major source of energy in your body comes from the deposited fat. The higher the rate of metabolism; the higher will be the consumption of the fat. And to increase the rate of metabolism water is essential.

Without proper intake of water the process starts facing barrier and automatically the layers of fat start gathering around. Kidney is the ultimate organ to function in fat removal from the body cells. Less consumption of water means lowering the metabolic rate and damaging all the associated organs in the process.

So if you really intend to tone up your muscles and remain free from dehydration, again it is one and only water that can protect you. Pimple on your skin; drink more water. Fat around your abs; again it is water to melt it down. Water is a real drop of life. No wonder!
Water For Weight Loss
Most people are amazed when they hear that water plays a major role to achieve weight loss. The fact is that Muscles contain over 75% water and blood has more than 80% water content. Then bones and fat constitute at least 20% of water. Does this surprise you? Normal people do not know this fact.

Well if you think that water alone will help you to achieve results, then you are wrong. There should be a proper ratio of food and water to get best result. Just like a car needs proper ratio of air and petrol to give maximum output.

Remember that ?bad? fats are the main culprits causing excess weight ? eat ?good fats? that provide essential fatty acids. They help regulate blood pressure, prevent blood clotting and lower risk of heart failure.

Good proteins do help in suppressing cravings for food. They are essential in building muscles.

Carbohydrates such as beans, vegetables, fruits, and whole grains are consumed by the body slowly and hence they are natural hunger-suppressants; they are also moderate on fats and calories.

Eat adequate fiber food. Good fiber foods do not contribute much of calories and they are filling. They thus help in suppressing hunger. Moreover fiber does not get digested by the body and while passing through the body it attaches to some of the fats and proteins that we eat; thus they are taken out of the system without being digested! Apples, figs, broccoli, strawberries, brown rice, beans, bran and nuts are good fiber foods.

Water plays two important roles in helping you lose weight. Cravings for food are felt when the body dehydrates; if water is consumed in reasonable and adequate measure it suppresses hunger pangs. Liver provides stored fats for energy; water helps metabolism allowing kidneys to flush out waste. Many people will find it surprising that drinking cold water can burn the extra fat in the body; if you drink ice cold water it uses over 60 calories a day from the body ? thus the body has to burn over 420 calories a week to raise the temperature of the ice cold water to the body temperature. What a way to beat that excess fat!

As we see here water plays an important role in you lose weight; it is a natural appetite suppressant, it helps in dieting and generally a major component in natural weight loss practice.
