Want to guess which sector of the American economy has been hit hardest by increasing fuel prices? Nope, not the airlines. Nope, not the individual car owner. Nope, not even Nascar. The biggest hit has been felt by the trucking industry which is the heart and soul and blood circulation of American commerce.
How bad is it for truckers and trucking companies?
The national average price for diesel rose sixteen cents last week from the previous week and has gone up by 1/3rd just since the start of the year
Nearly 1,000 trucking companies filed bankruptcy petitions in the first quarter, up 21 percent from 2007's first quarter.
This catastrophe for the truckers is hurting every other aspect of the American economy and beyond. Seventy percent of the goods that Americans consume are trafficked from manufacturers to outlets to consumers by trucks. So the price of all of these things will be going up if they have not started to already Go to the supermarket and you will already see this impact. Food prices are being hit by inflation, the artificial scarcity brought on by the shift of growing crops for food to growing crops for energy and the increased costs for the truckers to move food to the supermarket shelves.
The higher cost of trucking has also made our highways less safe. There are regulations that truckers are supposed to follow as to how long a duration they can be out on the road driving and how long that they have to rest in between shifts. Under ordinary circumstances these regulations get stretched and truckers are on coffee intravenous and work extended hours driving on our roads and highways. But now there are less trucking companies and less truckers carrying the same load so something's gotta give somewhere. And also the profit margin for the truckers is being cut into by the cost of diesel which is rising faster than the government surcharges can compensate them for. So we have more jackknifed trucks out there on the road and more death and destruction of the lives of America's truckers and unfortunate souls who happened to be on the road at the time that the driver started to doze and lost control. This is in addition to the lost lives due to biodiesel worldwide because of the shift from growing crops for food to growing crops for energy. Those number in the 10s of millions dieing from starvation and is a hushed up holocaust happening right now.
The devastation visited upon our economy by the Bush administration's policies and wars as well as the Federal Reserve's tinkering is going to be with us for decades. If we desire to live anything close to the lifestyle that the last number of generations have enjoyed in this country going into the future then we need to get creative on the grassroots level with real solutions disseminated in the fastest way possible, which right now is the internet.
One such solution is Water4Gas.
is sharing information at a low price which car owners can use at home to put together a small gizmo which infuses hydrogen into the gas/air mixture that their car or truck runs on.
The process makes smaller particles out of the particles that the engine burns as fuel. Because of the smaller size it is able to use considerably more of it.
With WATER4GAS you can reasonably expect to reduce your gas usage by thirty to fifty percent or significantly more. Those particles "musta" been pretty darn huge in some engines before. But with WATER4GAS they are made usable so you can reduce your gas usage.
It also helps to lower emissions significantly.
