If you are desperate for ways to lose weight fast - it is up to you to make the changes and learn what you have to do to make it work. Firstly, there are no quick fixes. Secondly, you need to break a sweat to lose weight. Although, it may be difficult at first, but if you allow yourself time to slowly add changes to your lifestyle, your fat loss efforts grow into you. Hence patience is the key. Below are 5 ways to lose weight with now -



1. Simply stop all foods and drinks with empty calories. Drinks like low fat smoothies, green tea, cordials, and water are recommended. Whilst eating more fresh foods like fruits, vegetables, lean meat, fish, skinless chicken and wholegrain foods have nutritional benefits. And choose low GI carbohydrate foods such as wholegrain pasta, Dongara rice or Basmati rice, multi-grain bread to help curb hunger. In others words, limit the fruit juices, donuts, white breads, take outs, fast foods and soft drinks as much as possible.

2. Read between the lines - Get into the habit of reading the ingredients of the foods they eat, and understand it. If you have not then it is time to start, and knowing what you are eating helps to combat your weight issues. You need to know what additives are in your food and how it has been processed and grown if at all possible. Many additives are unhealthy and can have a negative impact on your health. Take the time to do a bit of research, ask questions and find out what is in the food you eat and how it affects your overall health. You owe it to yourself.

3. When strength training, consider compound movements - you blast more calories. By focusing on sets of multi-joint exercises like squats, lunges and bench presses as opposed to isolation exercises like the bicep curls and crunches. The more muscle mass involved, the higher the calorie burn. And it is also a matter of intensity. You're going to burn more on the bench press than you can with bicep curls. Using isolation exercises to trim a particular body part doesn't work, so performing hundreds of crunches won't reduce belly fat. doing those crunches in addition to compounds movements, cardio, clean eating and a calorie deficit will reduce body fat cells, not just the abdominal area.

4. How to be active - try to take opportunities to build activity into your daily routine like taking the stairs instead of the lift; be active with a friend, meet them for a walk or organize a regular game of tennis or golf; don't drive when you walk or cycle; play with your children in an active way; take the dog for walk, organize some lunchtime activities with your workmates; work in your backyard or garden. There you have it simple ideas to get you moving now and make it part of your day.

5. Variety is the cornerstone of a healthy diet, but having too many options spell doom for persistent snackers. Restrict afternoon snacks to 1 healthy choice like a handful of almond nuts or pretzels with no refills, or just eating 1 or 2 pieces of fruit.

The above steps are just some of the ways to lose weight fast. However, the key here is, be patient and keep at it. Expect the good and bad times when it comes to losing the weight. But if you are consistent and make the effort to include small changes everyday - you can expect positive results down the road. Get into it, enjoy life and improve your health.

There are a few things that can help anyone to look better and feel better fast. Forget the "magic" diet pills, energy drinks, and un-proven weight loss methods. These types of solutions might seem like an "easy fix" but they don't lead to real, lasting changes in your health, energy levels, or body composition.

Follow the proven steps below and you'll soon have a lot more energy, much less body fat, and quite a bit more "zest" for life...

1. Do some form of exercise at least 5 days per week.

Few things can make as big of a difference in the way you look and feel as regular exercise. Regular physical exercise gives you more "real" energy, greatly reduces your stress levels, burns fat, and prevents a wide array of diseases (like cancer, cardiovascular disease, heart disease, diabetes, obesity, etc.). For best results, do each type of exercise at least twice per week: aerobic, anaerobic (strength training), and stretching/flexibility exercises.

2. Eat healthy fats every day.

Most people don't eat nearly enough "healthy" fat for optimal health. At the same time, they eat way too much "bad" fat, especially the trans-fats now found in the majority of packaged foods. Each day try to eat one or more of the following: oily fish, cold-pressed olive oil, nuts, seeds, avocado and flax. You might also want to try virgin coconut oil. Cut out as much fried foods, fatty meats, butter, margarine, and high-fat packaged foods as possible.

3. Eat a big, healthy breakfast.

Don't make the mistake of starting your day with little or no breakfast. People who do that may think they're "cutting calories" but, in reality, they're setting themselves up for failure. Avoid energy crashes and junk-food binges by eating a big, healthy, fiber- and protein-rich breakfast. Protein shakes are a great option, as are eggs (preferably organic), whole-wheat toast with peanut butter and fruit, sugar-free oatmeal, and high-fiber, low-sugar cereal with low-fat milk.

4. Drink only pure water and green tea.

In order to look and feel your best, you need to stay hydrated. But most drinks simply aren't very health. Soda has too much sugar and chemicals. Coffee has too much caffeine. Fruit juice has too much fructose (a simple sugar). Sports and energy drinks usually have tons of calories and/or artificial colors and flavors. If you want to lose weight and boost your energy, stick to pure water and hot or iced green tea, the only two beverages recommended by most natural health experts.

5. Eat veggies with every meal.

Eating fresh vegetables each and every day is an important step to achieving optimal health and fitness. Simply put, humans are designed to eat a big pile of vegetables on a daily basis, especially the "green leafy" variety. Most of your meals should be based around raw or lightly steamed veggies. They're full of the vitamins, minerals, and trace elements your body needs to function properly. You might even want to have an "all veggie" day once in awhile, where you eat nothing but fresh veggies and/or fresh vegetable juice throughout the day. It's a great way to cleanse and "rejuvenate" your entire system!
