When having a wedding, there are various items that are necessary to make sure both the ceremony and reception are complete. Such props are usually referred to as wedding or bridal accessories. If you are not careful, your bridal accessories can be a bottomless list. And as with any list, start with the absolute essentials:
- Wedding gown. A wedding gown definitely makes the top of the list and scouting for a perfect dress make take you to many stores. It is sometimes easier to find all the other accessories such as the veil, headpiece as well as gloves at the same place. They would usually give you a better price too.
- Bridal bouquet. Don’t make the mistake of carrying the wrong bouquet that absolutely don’t compliment your dress, hair or overall style. Take note of what flowers are in season and settle for the ones that are in season so that you don’t end up paying an insane amount of money just for a bouquet.
- Jewelry. Whether it is the family heirloom or borrowed designer jewelry, remember that they are supposed to highlight you the Bride, and not the other way around. Too much jewelry can be a bad thing!
- Bridal shoes. You can look stunning in a great looking pair of shoes but if it’s going to cause you pain all through your ceremony then you’re better off wearing something else.
- Entourage accessories. You must look stunning but those accompanying you should look good too. Your groom, bridesmaids, Maid-of-Honor, groomsmen and Best Man should be wearing the right accessories. Even your parents should not be left out.
Any other additions to this list will be less essential items that may be considered but are not absolutely necessary. In any case, it is not over yet as this list is only half of what you need. Your full wedding list should have other external wedding decorations accessories, which can be overwhelming.
Here are other important items that should be your priority:
- Wedding invitations – Usually, you would invite your guests to both ceremony and reception. However, there might be circumstances in which this cannot be done. If you need to divide your guests, start with the ones invited to both and then the ones invited to either on ceremony or reception.
- Wedding guestbook – use the same one for ceremony and reception. Guests who came for the ceremony but did not have time to sign in earlier will be able to do so at the reception. This helps on reducing the rush of guests trying to sign their well-wishes all at the same time. The guestbook also makes a wonderful memoir of your special day.
- Wedding album and photographer – these two are must-haves at the wedding so you will have a happy record of the day. Make sure your photographer is reliable and always remember to scrutinize his portfolio before you hire him. The best wedding photographers are always those that come on recommendation so be sure to consult your own connections first before hiring a total stranger.
- Wedding tableware. This is a special day so even if it is only for the main wedding table at the reception, get some special wedding tableware that includes wedding toasting flutes or glasses, napkins, place card holders, silverware (main items are forks, spoons, knives and cake cutter), china and wedding table decorations.
- Wedding favors. Go for souvenirs that are unique. This can usually be done if you successfully incorporate your personality into them.
- General wedding décor. Your overall wedding décor should be hand in hand with your wedding concept and try to make them obvious in items such as flowers, candles or lace. You don’t have to make it extravagant but you must add creativity in order for it to be outstanding.
You don’t have to go overboard or search high and low for some other accessories. These are accessories such as the ring bearer pillows, flower girl baskets and wedding pens. You can just use or decorate the ones you already have. For instance, the ring bearer pillow can be any pillow that is updated with satin cover. The flower girl’s basket can be any basket that you decorate with ribbons and bows.
You can make your wedding accessories and décor according to your liking. Even if you hire professionals to handle them, you should be truly satisfied with the end result. Remember that the most inexpensive wedding can still be the most beautiful wedding.
Wedding Accessories Guest Book
If you are looking to plan your wedding on a budget you may want to consider getting a cheap wedding dress. There are tons of places you can get cheap wedding dresses and no one will know the difference. If you want to splurge on your wedding dress, but want to keep the price down on your accessories, here are some great tips to do just that.
Online Retailers
Buying online is a great way to save money. Online retailers often offer the same exact product as off line stores at a fraction of the price. I suggest you take a look around your bridal boutique and find the veil, tiara, shoes you think you want. Don't buy them. Go online and see if you can't find the exact same product. I bet you can, and I also bet they will cost less. (You can also find cheap wedding dresses this way too, just make sure you try on the ones you love and note the size you need)
Buy Cheaper Shoes
Bridal stores count on you getting caught up in the festivity of buying a wedding dress. Don't get so wrapped up in the fun that you go off the deep end and buy your shoes there. Bridal store shoes are completely overpriced. You will find exactly the same shoes at a cheaper shoe retailer or an online retailer. Buy them there, save yourself tons of money.
Buy Cheaper Tiara
This is exactly the same for tiaras. I did go nuts and ended up buying everything at the bridal store. I later saw the exact same tiara I had bought at a low end jewelry store for about 75% less than what I paid! Go ahead try them all on, find the one that looks best with your dress but go somewhere else to buy it. It's not like the tiaras at a bridal boutique are made from real diamonds or anything. There's no need to pay diamond prices. You can find the one you want then go to a cheaper jewelry retailer or look online for the same tiara at discount prices.
Make or Borrow Your Veil
Unless you are having an extremely ornate and decorated veil they are easy enough to make yourself. It takes minimal sewing skills and you can easily find a pattern online or at a fabric store. It's amazing how little tulle costs at the fabric store and what a veil will cost at a bridal shop. You can also borrow a veil from a friend or family member.

Computer & Network Security The way I see this role transformation of the Indian CIOs is that not only has the role of a CIO broadened but the importance of IT and its footprint in organizations has also grown manifolds today.
