Wetting Bed At Night

    View:
Manchester in the United Kingdom is known for many things. To many, it is best known as the home of the Manchester United soccer team, but the city has much more to offer than just sports. It is a vibrant locale featuring a dazzling array of dining, drinking and entertainment options. You might say Manchester has something for everybody.

The same can be said for its vast choice of accommodation to meet every need and budget. There are many excellent places to stay that are close to Manchester's most popular tourist attractions as well as ideal venues on the city outskirts, in suburbs such as Bolton, Altrincham and Stockport, should you prefer a hotel closer to the countryside. These suburbs are near Manchester International Airport.

The city centre has lots of excellent value pub accommodation such as the Burton Arms Hotel near the Victoria Station, The Crown Inn on Deansgate and Castlefield and The New Union on Canal Street, a loud and boisterous place that is a favourite haunt of the gay community.

Monroe's Hotel near Piccadilly Station is a good, affordable choice if you are looking for a more traditional, family-oriented hotel. The Mitre Hotel right beside Manchester Cathedral is another excellent option that will not strain your budget too much. Meanwhile, in central Manchester, you will find a flagship YHA with affordable prices which is a short walk from the hip and trendy Castlefield Basin, which hosts several of Manchester's best nightspots.

There are many inexpensive hotels of good quality in the outskirts of Manchester, particularly in Chorlton and Didsbury in the south and Harpurhey and Blackley in the north. Just 15 minutes from the city centre, Barlow Moor Road in Didsbury features several good family hotels with friendly prices, including Bourneville Hotel and Green Gables Guest House. Harpers Hotel in Harpurhey, about a mile or so from the city centre, is another good choice.

The city centre hosts a number of moderately priced hotels and the Hotel International is one of the most popular ones, especially among rail travellers because of its proximity to Piccadilly Station.

The Princes Hotel, an elegant structure at the Corner of Portland Street, has its own nightclub and is a short five-minute walk from the city's main entertainment and shopping centres as well as a host of Chinatown restaurants. The Lowry Centre and the Holiday Inn Express at Salford Quays are also excellent value-for-money choices. Sports fans will appreciate the Old Trafford Lodge because of its closeness to Manchester United Football Club and the Lancashire County Cricket Club. If it's a gay-friendly hotel you want, then the Rembrandt Hotel on Canal Street, right in the heart of the Gay Village, should be your first choice.

The Albany Hotel in Chorlton has gained a reputation for its excellent food and quaint family charm while the Brittania hotel in Stockport gets good reviews for its superb facilities. The latter is also an ideal base for tourists who wish to visit the Peak District. Backpackers may be best served by The Novotel, Manchester West on the M60 motorway seven miles from the city centre.

The Malmaison near Piccadilly Station is an imposing and impressive modern structure that stands in stark contrast to the fine Victorian elegance of the Brittania on nearby Portland Street. Britannia has a host of in-house bars and restaurants. Both of them offer exquisite accommodation and are a favourite choice of both upscale local businessmen and foreign travellers who are in town for a few days.

If you're in Manchester for business, some of the best corporate conference facilities can be found at the Manchester Conference Centre and Hotel on Sackville Street near Piccadilly. They are equipped with some of the most modern audio visual facilities and equipment to ensure a quality presentation.

If it's an elegant hotel near the Manchester International Airport you desire, there are two top quality hotels located within the Manchester International Airport itself: the Manchester Airport Hilton and the Radisson SAS Hotel. The Airport Moat House and the Forte Posthouse Manchester Airport are also close to the airport.

On the other hand, if you require a world-class hotel near the city centre, then there's Crowne Plaza - The Midland or the Palace Hotel on Oxford Road. The Victoria & Albert Hotel is a charming and elegant venue on the waterfront and is perfect base for roaming the Castlefield area and Salford Quays. The south Manchester suburbs play host to two more top-class hotels, Stanneylands in Wilmslow and The Village Hotel & Leisure Club in Cheadle.
