What Causes Liver Failure

    View:
Haemorrhoids, hemorrhoids, emerods, or piles are swelling and inflammation of veinsin the rectum and anus. The anatomical term "hemorrhoids"technically refers to "Cushions of tissue filled with bloodvessels at the junction of the rectum and the anus". However, the term is popularly used to refer to varicosities of the hemorrhoidtissue. Perianal hematoma are sometimes misdiagnosed and mislabeledas hemorrhoids, when in fact they have different causes andtreatments.

Itis not known why hemorrhoids enlarge. There are several theoriesabout the cause, including inadequate intake of fiber, prolongedsitting on the toilet, and chronic straining to have a bowel movement(constipation). None of these theories has strong experimentalsupport. Pregnancy is a clear cause of enlarged hemorrhoids though, again, the reason is not clear. Tumors in the pelvis also causeenlargement of hemorrhoids by pressing on veins draining upwards fromthe anal canal.

Sittingfor long periods of time can start the hemorrhoid process. One theoryproposes that it is the shearing (pulling) force of stool, particularly hard stool, passing through the anal canal that dragsthe hemorrhoidal cushions downward. Increased straining during bowelmovements caused by constipation or diarrhea may lead to hemorrhoids. It is thus a common condition due to constipation caused by waterretention in women experiencing premenstrual syndrome ormenstruation.

Anothertheory suggests that with age or an aggravating condition, thesupporting tissue that is responsible for anchoring the hemorrhoidsto the underlying muscle of the anal canal deteriorates. With time, the hemorrhoidal tissue loses its mooring and slides down into theanal canal.

Hypertension, particularly portal hypertension, can also cause hemorrhoids becauseof the connections between the portal vein and the vena cava whichoccur in the rectal wall -- known as portocaval anastomoses.Pregnancy may lead to hypertension and increase strain during bowelmovements, so hemorrhoids are often associated with pregnancy.

Onephysiological fact that is known about enlarged hemorrhoids that maybe relevant to understanding why they form is that the pressure iselevated in the anal sphincter, the muscle that surrounds the analcanal and the hemorrhoids. The anal sphincter is the muscle thatallows us to control our bowel movements. Obesity can be a factor byincreasing rectal vein pressure. Poor muscle tone or poor posture canresult in too much pressure on the rectal veins.

Itis not known, however, if this elevated pressure precedes thedevelopment of enlarged hemorrhoids or is the result of thehemorrhoids. Perhaps during bowel movements, increased force isrequired to force stool through the tighter sphincter. The increasedshearing force applied to the hemorrhoids by the passing stool maydrag the hemorrhoids downward and enlarge them.

Cigarettesmoking during bowel movements, may worsen hemorrhoid, may lead tosevere internal bleeding of veins inside rectum area. Both can causediarrhea. Note that caffeine ingestion increases blood pressuretransiently, but is not thought to cause chronic hypertension.

What Causes Liver Failure
There is a weakness in the abdominal wall where the blood vessels and the nerves are passing through. This weak part is all along the femoral canal in the groin. In different individuals the weakness in the muscles and tissues round this region will open up and permit the contents of the stomach to pass through. When this occurs it produces a bulge that is referred to by doctors as a femoral hernia.

The symptoms of the hernia may be challenging to determine. There is really only one symptom that is easy to find when determining whether or not you have a femoral hernia is to search for the bulge or large lump that is produces. The lump will appear as big as a grape in your groin or in the upper inner area of your thigh.

It is feasible for people to shrink the hernia by pressing it back within the stomach. While this may be painless this is not a remedy and might only work for a short period of time. Once in a while the hernia will get stuck within the femoral canal. When this happen the physicians will have diagnosed it as an incarcerated or irreducible femoral hernia. This stage of the hernia may stimulate immense pain.

The hernia does have a risk of becoming strangulated. This happens when portions of the intestine has been woven together with the hernia and is therefore reducing the

blood supply or stopping it completely. Strangulation can likewise cause the hernia to become larger and much more painful.

Femoral Hernia Causes

There are numerous elements that can cause a femoral hernia. For several it occurs naturally by itself and will only grow in size because of pressure being pushed on the region of the body where the hernia is located. The type of pressure that can increase it in size includes:

  • Pregnancy
  • Coughing
  • Straining during bowel movement
  • Straining while lifting heavy objects
  • Straining of muscles during physical activities
Unfortunately femoreal hernias don't have the ability to go away without assistance. It might take some time for them to develop in size and at distinct times individuals can have the ability to press it back inside of the abdomen. Still, to entirely manage the problem and to prevent serious problems like strangulation the patient should talk to their doctor about surgery hernia treatment. Your doctor will have the power to explain all of the risks involved.
