The job of a business analyst is one of growing importance in today's complicated international businesses that have increased their scope of activity into foreign countries and have invested huge amounts of money to acquire advanced information technology hardware and software which they will now use productively in the performance of their projects. A lot of these businesses are at times overwhelmed which causes them to resort to outsourcing project management duties offshore.



A business analysts is needed to be oversee projects and see whether their goals are achievable. Part of the duties of a business analyst is to review the processes employed by a business and to interview its managers and employees to ensure that they are making full use of their potential.

The individual with the knowledge to troubleshoot various problems that arise is a business analyst. Apparently the IT department cannot function smoothly without input from the business analyst.

Many times there can be insecurity about the point that a business analyst's work stops and the point that IT employees job starts, the same for Project Managers and economic section heads. All businesses, both small and large, need a business analyst. Companies will either have a business analyst working for them and those that don't will contract the position out to someone who does it freelance.

Articles explaining a business analyst's job and the various specializations of this profession, there are dozens, no hundreds. Even more articles discuss and debate the specific role of a business analyst as opposed to other professions he or she must work with on a day-to-day basis. I have to say that I have attempted to comprehend what specifically a business analyst's job is but have always failed in any way to do so.

I suppose that a business analyst is a market adviser with highly developed IT certifications along with economic and market organization training. A well-developed communication and conversation skills and be able to speak the different languages spoken by the personnel and directors of the separate departments of a same firm or company, to successfully perform his or her duties as a business analyst. Of course, business analysts are held accountable in case of failure of the business solutions they provide. My reaction is simply that I'm relieved that I'm not a business analyst.
