We live in a dualistic universe where everything in our reality has an opposite. The nature of a universe of relativity requires this so that we can experience life. You have to know up before you can know down. Left-right, light-dark, male-female, all of life has an opposite in the world of duality.
Because of this dualistic nature we are able to experience two different perspectives of God. When you believe in the fear based paradigm of separation you view God from the perspective that you are separate from God and this God is kind of a Boss-God.
This God created everything and you are just here to experience his creations. That is the basis of the separation paradigm of life. This God is often viewed as an older white male living in heaven and watching what we do so that he can judge our actions.
The opposite perspective says that God is not an old white male with a flowing beard sitting on a throne in heaven. Rather, who we call God can use many different names: God, Allah, Jehovah, Nature, or any other name you wish to call this universal force. This God is not revealed to us using human features or human affectations. This God is a love-based God that is based in the idea of unity and can best be described as a universal intelligence that flows through all things, and at its core is Love.
This universal force is everywhere and there is nothing that it is not.
This universal force is the source of all that is. It is the alpha and the omega.
This universal force is inexhaustible.
This universal force is not born and it does not die. It is eternal.
This universal force does not judge and it does not condemn.
This universal force is totally accepting.
This universal force has creation abilities.
This universal force is omnipotent and has no opposite omnipotent force to contend with.
Everything in the universe is one with this universal force, because it is the source of everything. Nothing is separate from it. This universal force is in everything and at its core is Love. This one sentence says it all: This universal force is in everything and at its core is Love.
If we were dropped from outer space at this particular moment in time without any preconceived notions or prior education about our planet and were given this one statement to explain God, we would have an entirely fresh and completely different perspective about how we define God.
But we have been on this planet for quite awhile and we do have our own perception of who and what God is. We have gleaned this mostly from our past teachers, such as our parents and our religious leaders.
They have told us their truths and consequently that is what we believe to be our truths about God. We have accepted the word of others and not relied on our own experiences to give us our truths. That's a very lazy way to go about the business of defining who we are. In our society, however, that way seems to be the norm.
Our past teachers, the people we trust the most, especially our mothers and fathers, our school teachers, our Sunday school teachers and religious leaders all have good intentions when they relate their beliefs to us. They have tried to answer our innermost questions about God and our relationship with God.
As in all human interactions the exchange given is external from one person to another. However the ultimate truths for ourselves are internal and we must go within ourselves to discover what is true for us.
Like many other communications in this physical world, this explanation of a God based in unity and love is being conveyed to you in written external form. It is up to you to take the information and go within yourself to see if it is true for you.
Because I tell you this: You are your own rule-maker. You set your own guidelines as to what is your truth. You decide who and what you really are, and who you want to be. Ultimately you will see that you and only you can assess how well you are doing on your particular quest to be yourself.
Each of us has a belief about God. Some of us believe that we are separate from God and some of us believe that we are one with God. It does not matter which belief system you have chosen. You are at total choice in all matters.
However there are natural consequences of every choice. The natural consequence of believing yourself to be separate from God is that fear is your dominant paradigm. The natural consequence of believing yourself to be one with God is that love is your dominant paradigm. Either one is okay.
The question is this, ?Are you better served by love or by fear??
