If you want to begin a customer loyalty program it is important to determine what benefit your customers would most appreciate. Once you have determined what to offer them, make sure that with each visit to your site they are told about the loyalty program and do everything in your power to keep them satisfied with their experience on your site. Your more established, repeat purchasers, will be most appreciative of your efforts to reward them and in turn refer others to your site.



Giving back to customers who shop on your site often is one way to maintain their business and increase sales from new customers or those who don't shop on your site on a regular basis. If you have a successful business, adding a program like this will help increase sales and build your reputation. It is not necessary to give a huge reward, either. Sometimes a small token is enough to generate more business. Think about what you would like to offer and how it can be delivered to the customer.

Typical customer rewards include coupons that can be redeemed for free merchandise, discounted merchandise, or other type of promotion. Making people visit your site is the goal of offering free merchandise. Chances are customers who receive these offers will visit your site and purchase additional items. Other ideas include their name entered into a drawing, free shipping, extra items, or free information, tips, or advice.

When starting a customer loyalty program, you should decide what you want to offer and when you want to start offering these items. Advertising the program on your website or through exterior medium such as email, blogs, newsletters. These are all great ways to spread the word so customers will know that they are valued and are eligible to participate in the program.

You may need to make adjustments as to what you are offering, how often, and to which customers. When outlining the rules of a customer loyalty program, you should not become too complex. Determine an amount, how many times they ordered from you, so visitors can determine specifically what needs to be done in order to be qualified. Many times other car rental companies have the same or lower rates. It's best to search all available car rental companies regardless of their marketing scheme.

Many car rental companies reserve the best deals for customers who book directly through them. Visit the company's website to view specials and virtual coupons. You should also sign up for email alerts. The rental company will send you an email when they have a special offer. They may also send you coupons that can save you money or entitle you to a free rental day or free upgrade.

Loyalty Programs

It's also a good idea to sign up for a rental car company's loyalty program, especially if you'll be renting frequently in the future. Not only will you receive email alerts for promotions but you'll also get special discounts that only loyalty program members are entitled. After you've rented a few times, you will receive perks on subsequent rentals such as free upgrades and free options such as GPS. You'll also be able to take advantage of special lines for VIP customers for fast car pickup and drop off.

Small Car Rental Companies

The large rental chains have the most loyal customers and have a large number of locations and variety of vehicles but they don't always offer the best rest. Many times small rental offices have better rates. You'll have to weigh the price benefit with the other downsides. They usually aren't located right at the airport, their car selection is poor and not guaranteed and their service can be lacking. Smaller companies also don't usually have a loyalty program which may not matter if you don't intend on renting frequently.

Also take a good look at the contract. Most of the large car rental chains include standard services such as roadside assistance with the rental price. If you're renting from a small company then ask if they offer the service for a fee.

Whether you choose a large chain or small ?mom and pop? rental car company, carefully look over the contract and the estimated total price before signing. There are always hidden costs that you need to be aware of before driving away.
