The port and town of Falmouth is found on the River Fal and is located on Cornwall's south coast. The actual harbour in the town is the third deepest natural one in the world and holds the title of being the deepest in Western Europe. During 1935, the actor Will Hay was to be found staying in the town whilst the comedy film "Windbag the Sailor" was being produced. Then in 1948, it was used as a backdrop for some of the scenes featuring Sir John Mills when Scott of the Antarctic was being filmed. In addition, the town has been used as a backdrop for the Disney film Treasure Island that was made in 1950.
