On the outset of your low calorie diet program, you will lose a few pounds and you convince yourself it works. No it doesn't. Gradually you stop losing fats, you have gone to a dieting plateau phase.
The body is very clever. It detects a drop in calories intake and then adjust itself by burning fewer calories each day. For example, if you are eating 2000 calories per day, your body will adjust its metabolism to burn 2000 calories per day only. It is survival instinct. And you start to drop your calories intake to 1000. The body will adjust to the new 1000 calories intake and burn only that much. Therefore in actuality, you are not losing fats.

Where do fats come from? Food. Therefore, the problem lies with the food you eat. You are not losing fats because you don't eat the right foods at the right intervals each day. So if you don't eat the right foods at the right times then the body won't burn those calories. You end up storing those calories as fat tissue.
