You may get the idea that Dr. Trivedis' patients are overwhelmingly women, but your thinking is not right. Sure, 65% are women, but men coming in for dentistry also attempt getting facials and waxings too.

Men will not go to a salon to get these things done, but a the dentist he will try. "You'd be surprised by the number of men who use spa services."

Patients will feel greater about dentistry if they aren't worrying about other facial problems.

Someone will have their first facial and then go tell everyone they know, or there will be a 15-year-old who comes in to get her eyebrows waxed for the first time and then her mother will hear her say, "Oh my gosh I just got my eyebrows waxed at a dentist's office!"

The Internet was the cause of Dr. Trivedis' idea to open a dental spa, the Web has expanded the word about the increasing business. And possibly the dentistry-spa combination is really going to evaporate the fears of patients.
