If I had to choose one place in Thailand to recommend it would be the north of Thailand with lovely places like Chiang Mai. I would choose the North of Thailand because there you will find the best of Thai people. The north of Thailand is renowned for its friendly and welcoming people.

Also the north of Thailand has so much to offer to the eco traveler. The area is so beautiful with the mountains and there are many things to visit. In Chiang Mai for example you can spend a couple of weeks easily without getting bored as there is so much to do.
