Why You Should Detoxify - 5 Common Signs To Look Out For

Have you, or any of your family members ever been to a regular detoxification centre or clinics as a health maintenance? Chances are, probably not. We are not quite like property. Our health will not naturally appreciate with time, no matter how great a location we live in. We are more like a car; with regular maintenance, every 3 months or so, our engine will give us more mileage and treat us with more respect in the long run.



I am not saying to treat your body like a car. Car spare parts are easily obtained at a workshop. Our organs are not. Chances are, a kidney that has just been replaced might have been harvested illegally from India. But that is another story.

Our world is full of toxins that linger in the air that we breathe, the food that we eat, the liquids that we consume and especially daily stress. Free radicals that build up in our system can throw our body out of balance and make us prone to sickness. Let us not even talk about smoking, alcohol and drug abuse.

I have listed 5 common reasons why you need to detoxify your body:

1) Constipation

The definition of constipation is a bowel movement of less than 3 times a week. For some people, it is daily and some, only once a week. Many of us fall in between. What happens when we constipate? The stools that are expelled are usually hard, in lumps and are dark in color. Straining can lead to injury of the intestines and mineral deficiencies. The most common reason for constipation is lack of fiber in the diet. Toxins that accumulate in our colon are also responsible for this affliction.



2) Inflammatory arthritis

Arthritis is the number one cause of disability in The United States. There are two main types of arthritis: inflammatory and osteoarthritis. Inflammatory arthritis is caused by an over-production of toxins in the body. The cause of inflammation of the joints is due to the immune system attacking the toxins present, thinking that it is attacking an infection. Rheumatoid arthritis is a form of inflammatory arthritis.

3) Bad breath

Halitosis, or commonly known as bad breath is not apparent in the sufferer as it is difficult to smell our own breath. One common reason is odor-producing bacteria that thrive in the mouth. This is caused by bits of food that has left in the mouth and between the teeth. Toxins in our body also play a big part in causing halitosis.

4) Food allergies

Allergies are triggered when the immune system is continually overloaded. If these irritants keep mounting in the body, an allergy reaction will occur. There are six ways to protect yourself from allergies and one of them is detoxification of the liver, which removes many of the major toxins and affects allergies.

5) Chronic cough or sinus problems

Chronic cough is a persistent cough and is usually caused by asthma, allergies and a sinus infection. It is not a disease by itself but a product of a variety of irritants and pollutants in the air and in our bodies. Some medications can also cause chronic cough.

There are many more symptoms such as psoriasis, frequent headaches, poor digestion, sudden memory lapse and insomnia but most of us have at least one or two of the ones described above. The next question is, how do we know where to go for more information? One good place to start is to go to your local pharmacy and explain your symptoms to their consultant for an over the counter remedy. This could come in the form of supplements or even tea.

Depending on your symptoms, you may need to go through two or more detox programs to treat the symptoms separately. This will allow your body system to flush out these toxins for maximum efficiency. One of the best ways is colon hydrotherapy cleansing which gently flushes out the wastes for the colon by using water. It lasts for about 1 hour.

The other option is to look up detox clinics in your area and pay them a visit for the best treatment for your particular symptoms. However, please do not assume that detoxifying your body is going to relief you of your symptoms. There may be other medical reasons for your condition. In this case, discuss it with your physician to pin point the exact cause.
