Wonderful Life Part 1

    View:
If you're blogging all day long, then you may NOT have it. Here is why and you may want to read this.

This article is the first of a four part series. The article is lengthier than what you are used to, but you won’t regret it. It has taken me several days to put this one together since I did not have the time to do it all at once. I found any time I could, so now I have finally completed it. If you hang in for the ride, you’ll have one heck of an experience. Enjoy!

What direction would you like to take yourself and your career?

If you already have many deals and sources of income, then don't bother reading this. However, if you are struggling now in this market, then I highly recommend that you read this. You may find it to be a valuable insight. There is an important message I just read several days ago that I'd like to express to you.

What message?

Here it is. I read a blog post recently that remained with me as the author made such remarkable comments. He simply nailed it. It was bull’s eye indeed. I want to share his thoughts with you. It’s a treasure trove of value. It will leave you looking at your life thru a refreshingly new pair of glasses

What made the blog stand out?

The post was well-timed and to-the-point. Special? Well, there was nothing special about it. It did not have any nice graphics, no glitter and glitz, no beautiful young models. :)

There’s more to it than meets the eye.

George's post was just a simple blog post with only paragraphs and lots of words. Many viewers may have just scanned it and moved on because there are no pictures on that post. Some may even find it boring because it looks plain. My friends, looks can be deceiving. Don't judge a book by its cover. Don't believe Andre Agassi....Image is NOT everything!

Then why is it special?

Well, here it is. Even without all the flashy pictures and such, the meat of it all is simply outstanding. The message of it...... is worth several pounds of gold. They say a "picture is worth a thousand words." You might have to re-think that phrase because I have coined a new phrase for George in that "his words are worth a thousand pictures." I really mean it. If you haven’t been paying heed, now’s the time to sit up and focus. I urge you to do so for your own well-being.....and that of those you care about and wish the best for too.

Who is this mysterious blogger?

I don't know George nor have I ever spoken with him. Based on his post, I know he is a great communicator and knows what he’s talking about. These are the characteristics that I covet and I constantly work to achieve as I go through life. Wisdom, integrity, success, wealth, philosophy, to name a few. This is what I have modeled my life after and that is just me.

See you as we head into Part 2 of this four part series to dissect George’s message.
Wonderful Life Part 1
Learn to manage stress, and you can reclaim your life.

The steps are easy, but cannot be avoided.

You either start managing stress, or watch it eat away at your immune system, and open the door for disease and finally death.

The Positive Side of Stress

Stress itself is a part of our ?fight or flight? reflex.

This temporary stress is programmed into our DNA, and causes our bodies to release the various hormones and enzymes necessary for our self-preservation.

This is the positive side of stress. After the stimulus is gone that caused the fight or flight reflex, our bodies flush out the remains of the hormones, and we are in many ways better for it.

The Negative Side of Stress

When we are faced with daily stress, and our bodies cannot cope with the situation that is causing it, our

immune system is the first to break down.

Our bodies cannot flush out the excess of chemicals produced by our endocrine system, and they act as immunosuppressants.

We open ourselves to heart attack, stoke, any number of organ failures, and naturally, attack from pathogens of all natures.

Stress Management Basics

If you are reading this article, you may be, like so many of us, in need of learning the basics of stress management. It is a complex subject, but stress management has the following key components.

?Recognition of the stressor (that stimulus that is causing the stress)

?Understanding your body's (and mind's) reactions to stress

?Resolution (the inner commitment) to manage the stressor

?Confronting or withdrawing from the stressor (an adaption of the fight or flight reflex)

?Reinforcing our natural resistance to stress

?Rejection of additional stress from the same or related stressors

Stated simply, you must first recognize why you are stressed and by whom or what. This has to be very clear to you.

Then you must examine what that stress is doing to you (and your body). After that you must resolve and firmly commit to manage this stress, in any way possible.

That means, you might have to confront it straight on, or decide to remove yourself from the situation where you are being stressed.

At this point, you may need to start going to a gym, taking teas of soothing herbs, start meditation, or get massages?and there are many more ways to reinforce our natural resistance to stress.

Alcohol, drugs, absences, chain smoking, and the like may for a moment help you forget some of the stress, but indeed, these habits will not reinforce your natural resistance to stress, but mask the stress.

The stress will still be there, and you will still suffer for it.

Finally, you must resolve firmly and unequivocally to reject further stress from the same stressor or stimulus.

You can just shut off your senses to it, or inform whoever it is that is stressing you that you will no longer be bothered by it or them.

This resolve is a great step in reclaiming your life.

It is a fact, if you fail to manage stress, it will damage you mentally and physically, and rob you of years of your life. In part 2, read how to confront or withdraw from the stress stimulus (or stimulator) in new and powerful ways.
