Workout Routines Without Weights

The one muscle that seems to always get neglected is the calfs. Perhaps this is because the calfs are such a small muscle so many individuals don't think they need it for anything. If you have finally decided to build up your calf muscles, within this article you are going to be learning about 4 basic ways to build your calfs.



The truth is that if you only go for developing your quads and hamstrings and have no calf muscle showing, that lower part of your body is actually going to appear to be shaped oddly. Sometimes many individuals find it hard to build up their calf muscles. Many individuals are able to build up their calf muscles when they aim for a rep range that is slightly higher. With this said, instead of you going for those five to eight reps that are designed to build up your chest muscles, back, shoulders and legs you should go for twelve to twenty reps instead. Our second tip we would like to tell you that you should be using in addition to that higher rep range we just told you about in the above paragraph is that you should keep that rest time limited in between your sets. We tell you this because this is going to help you to get a good muscle pump going. Resting for a little while in between sets is going to be helping in order to engorge your muscles with blood and it will also be giving your muscles the nutrients that they need and deserve. Yes, cut your rest time short but don't cut it too short to the point you can no longer keep the intensity.

Our third tip we are going to tell you about may be challenging to you but it is highly recommended by us simply because we believe it will work when it comes to building up your calf muscles. Next time you go to the gym and you are doing those squats many individuals tell you to keep a movement that is continuous throughout. Instead of keeping the movement continuous we would like for you to take about a one to two second pause when you reach the very bottom. You are going to find this technique to work really good, especially if you are doing them off a step, this is because your calf's is going to be in the best stretched-out positions.

The fourth and last tip we are going to tell you about when it comes to building up your calf muscles is the fact that you should think about doing multiple foot positions. What we are saying is that you should think about how you are placing your feet on the ground when you are doing those calf workouts to get better calf's. We recommend you doing some calf workouts where your feet will be facing forward in a straight position. After you do the feet facing forward position you should also do a couple of set where your feet will be slightly turned in or even slightly turned out.
