The Hartstone Pottery Company has its origins in the USA; more precisely its main factory store is in Zanesville, Ohio. The Hartstone manufacturers have had their problems in the past but are now back on the pottery market along with renowned stoneware retailers like Plow&Hearth or Orvis. Since 2005 when the Company has undergone some major personnel and management changes, million dollar renovations were made to the factory.
