It really doesn't matter what your religious beliefs are or what denomination. What is absolutely critical is that you believe in a higher power of some kind, shape or form. What I have learned as a seeker of spiritual truth is that there are no wrong paths. That whatever "feels" right for you is. Having studied many different paths, what I ended up doing is looking for the common threads that ran through all of them. Those threads were all pointing to the same thing, and this is what I have concluded:



1. There is a power greater than myself that flows in, as and through all that is.

2. That power is pure love and is always present and available, if we are open to it.

3. We were all born with guidance. It takes many forms but for me, my emotions are "on the money" every time. I prefer to feel my way.

4. We can never sever the connection we have with our higher power. We can ignore, turn our backs, medicate it away and generally choose not to listen, but it waits patiently for our return.

5. We are freewill beings, born with the absolute freedom to create whatever we put our focus on long enough. We are so radically free that we can choose bondage.

6. There is literally nothing we cannot be, do or have if we stay focused exclusively on it and recognize "we" don't really create anything. Our job is to determine preference ... to want and desire. It is the job of the universe to orchestrate the how, where and when.

7. Our egos think that they are in control and know what is best for us. In fact, our egos are a helpful part of our psyche and that is all. They usually run riot in our lives and end up making quite a mess before we recognize them for what they are ... a tool among others that is God-given..

8. No one can make you happy. No one can "make" you anything. You are the only one in charge of your feelings. Making conscious choices as to how you think and feel is arduous but so rewarding.

9. You are responsible for everything in your experience ... everything. This is a little scary at first; however, once you take that God-given power back, the freedom and relief are overwhelming.

10. Beliefs are simply thoughts that you think long enough that they become dominant, and once they become dominant, they have become what you call a belief or truth.

The path you choose is right for you if it brings you peace, serenity and joy. Whatever path you are on is perfect and can always be changed if you come across another that suits you better. Nothing is permanent, nor is it written in stone. Being joyous and free are who you are.
