You Just What I Need

    View:
Art and business do mix and if you become a smart entrepreneur chances are it will be easier for you to teach music the way you want. If that is what you desire, you really should consider going into private teaching on your own.

By becoming your own boss, you can control how you work, how many hours and for what pay. Of course, building a business from the ground is hard no mater what the field and this one is no exception.

Aside all the practical aspects of it, the most important thing you should devote your energy to so your business sores is how to get students to enroll and choose you from all the other offers out there.

Just open your newspaper and see all the ads for music teachers and music lessons. There is no doubt this is a competitive market. To thrive you need a way to stand out.

The most obvious would be qualifications. The more and better yours are, the most likely it is that someone will find you competent enough. If this is not your strong point, try to take some courses or even follow a music degree.

It is also fundamental you get your name around. If no one knows you, no one will hire you. Word to mouth is one of the best ways, since people usually trust the person that givens them advice. You can also advertise but it does cost you money you may not have and it is not guarantee to work.

All things consider, there are several ways to turn you art into your living in a comfortable manner. In anyway you choose to go about it, do not forget that one of the most crucial points is your students list. After all, who would else would you teach?
You Just What I Need
You've planned your wedding. You've had all your dress fittings, and flowers are set to be delivered to your venue on your special day. Have you put together your something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue? Now it's time to add "something you might just need!". What little things can help you get through the day with every hair in place and a smile on your face? It's time to put together your bridal emergency kit!

A Special Tote Bag for the Bride

To begin assembling your emergency kit, you may want a tote to bring all your necessities to your upcoming celebrations and ceremony. Choose something with lots of room, something that matches your wedding colors, and something that you won't forget. You may decide to have your bag personalized with your name or initials on a wedding tote in advance, making it extra special! Choose something with lots of pockets to make finding whatever you need even easier. Some brides may even wish to use a small carry-on style suitcase which you can pull along on wheels. Your Maid of Honor or Wedding Planner may agree to be responsible for putting this kit together and bringing it along on the big day.

Items You Will Need

There are some things that are on the obvious side which you'll want to take along, such as bobby pins, tissues, safety pines, hair spray, and an extra tube of lipstick. There are some items that you may not think of bringing - so make a list and check it twice. Remember, you're better off to have it "just in case," than to be without.

Wardrobe: Pack a sewing kit and threads that match your dress, your bridesmaids' dresses, and your groom's attire. Pack crazy glue, extra buttons, and clear nail polish (to fix pantyhose runs). On that note, bring an extra pair of pantyhose alone as well! Include spot remover and white chalk which can be used to tidy any last minute smudges on your gown. Shoe polish, pins, scissors, and hem tape - just in case!

Beauty & Hygiene: Bring extra make-up and nail polish in the bride's colors, breath mints, dental floss, and a nail file. Eye drops, an extra hair brush, and a small mirror can all do wonders during the course of the day. Extra earring backs and suitable jewelry can also be included, just in case an earring goes missing. Logistical Concerns: You never know what might happen on any day - especially on your wedding day. Arrive prepared. Bring extra cash, change (for meters), local cab phone numbers, and copies of contracts and vendor contact information. Tylenol and a few snacks can also save the day.

Tech, Tech!

In the rush of the big day, a bride may forget some things she would never normally leave the house without. A cell phone, a digital camera, and a music pod are all good ideas to bring along. They don't take up much room and they can calm you down, put you in touch, or capture a moment.

Pulling It Together

Make a list a few weeks before your wedding date and have your emergency kit ready to go well in advance. Talking to other brides about what they wish they would have brought on their wedding day is a great idea too! You may come up with some things you never would have thought of on your own. Besides your personalized bride bag, consider purchasing a packaged kit - but make sure to personalize it with a few of your own necessities. Relax and enjoy the day - and if any glitch does come up, you've got your emergency kit to help you through.
