Not everyone uses there computer everyday, but I would venture to guess that the majority of people in American and England probably use it for at least 20 minutes a day. They may just go online to check their mail, and answer to the people the need too, or perhaps checking something from a trivia question they heard earlier. What ever it is they are on the internet for a little bit of time.



Well as a freelance writer you're on your computer a huge amount of the time. Your computer is your life and blood; it's how you put food on the table for your kids. Or even how you just paid for that new outfit you bought. Whatever it is the majority of your time is spent researching something you need to write about. Your usage is a lot different from the regular Joe's in the world. In fact if your computer goes down it hurts you in more ways then one.

Yeah as a freelancer you may still goof around on your computer from time to time, but not in the sense that it's an all day goof off feast. You go to sign on to your computer and all of the sudden it won't go anywhere. Oh crap, you know you have an assignment that is due today, and another that is due the next day. So taking your computer in hand you go to the computer shop and hope and pray that it won't take all too long to fix.

Getting to the store you slowly hand over your life, because when you freelance your computer is in fact your life. They tell you it will at least be a couple of days before they can really figure out what the problem is and if it will have to go out to get fixed. Inside you scream, aren't these people suppose to be experts, damn them for not being able to fix it. Well you really need to hope that they will be able to fix it in their shop, but you can't get too excited after all you have assignments that are due and you really need to get them done.

So now you need to go to the library and work at a computer, signing up for the next available computer you go and sit, hoping the time will go quickly. But you know when you waiting for something it never goes quickly. No in fact it's so slow that you seem to be sitting in the spot for years.

The library has a time limit on the computers you can only stay on it for a little bit, then go and sign up again. What a pain in the butt, you know it's going to be hard to finish those articles now, your so use to having that computer right there for you any time of the day. But it's not like that now, you are computer less, and very sad.

So what is the whole meaning of this story, you really need to watch what you download from the computer, listen to your spyware programs and anti-virus programs. I didn't and right now I am without my life. It's difficult to be able to do work. I can guarantee you that when I get that computer back I will be paying attention to my anti-virus program and not downloading a bunch of crap.
