If you're a fan of Nickelodeon's various TEENick shows, then get ready to see your favorite series stars get together and host a one-of-a-kind dance party. Named the ?TEENick Back-to-School Bash,? the event serves to present the fall lineup for TEENick, just in time for the start of school again for teens all over the U.S. The Back-to-School Bash is scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 16, and will run from six to nine in the evening. Among the young stars who will host the celebration and share emcee chores are Jamie Lynn Spears of Zoey 101, Raja Fenske of Unfabulous, Lil JJ of Just Jordan, and Miranda Cosgrove of iCarly.



Another main reason for the mobile musical shindig is that all of the shows? new storylines involve dance in some form. Each host will present the first episode of their respective shows? latest season, which is debuting at the same time that the event will be taking place. The young stars will also treat fans to a behind-the-scenes look at the training and preparation they did for their new dance-heavy plotlines, and show off their moves in a number of rehearsed dance routines. With the last show of the night being Zoey 101, the latest season of the teen sitcom kicks off with an episode titled ?Dance Contest.?

And if you're wondering why TEENick is taking this new approach, one hint might be found in the direction of Disney's phenomenally successful High School Musical TV movie series. Couple that with a film like Hairspray, which has also been a massive hit with the younger crowd, and Nickelodeon has every reason to try and cash in on the craze for moving and grooving. For Zoey 101, the dance sequences were choreographed and produced by Broadway veteran Lane Napper, who has worked on the stage versions of The Lion King, Mary Poppins, and Beauty and the Beast.
