Christmas Treats

Looking forward to a treat can fill us with great anticipation and delight. When we say treats we normally think of sweet treats, chocolates or some luxury chocolate cake. Christmas time itself is considered a treat as it’s the time of year we allow ourselves extra spending money to buy something that will please us or others such as a large box of deluxe chocolates to sit in front of the television with on Christmas night or a selection of mint chocolates to share with our guests on Christmas day.

As parents we love to treat the kids at Christmas either spoiling them rotten with plenty of toys, games and sweets, it’s the one time of year we give into their demands and requests for expensive and plentiful gifts all nicely wrapped under the Christmas tree. There is nothing we enjoy better than watching the kids and family open their Christmas gifts.
Parents also like to receive nice Christmas presents such as a diamond pendant, gold watch or a big bouquet of flowers for your wife or girlfriend and for the boyfriend or husband a football top or DVD box set might go down a treat.

Most of us are on a diet 364 days of the year and on December 25th we allow ourselves whatever we fancy even if we don’t reach for the family size box of chocolates we indulge in savoury food and we might even have an extra helping of Christmas cake with cream and a large liquor to wash it down with pure indulgence!! Aside from food treating ourselves to a new outfit or hairdo for the works Christmas party can make us feel extra special.
Many people like to treat themselves and the family to a holiday during the festive period. Getting away from the hustle and bustle of the high street shops and generally the whole expense and flapping around that gets done up until Christmas day is gladly missed.

For most people going abroad at Christmas can be a big treat as they have to save all year for their holiday or that hard earned bonus is put to good use for holiday clothes, sun screen and accessories. If you are staying in a hotel on Christmas day more often than not the hotel will lay on a Christmas buffet so you wont have to miss out on your Christmas dinner or drinks. There is often entertainment during the whole day also for the kids so they wont miss Santa giving them a Christmas present.
