How to Recipe - How to Make an Omelet

I found out a way recently to make a perfect omelet. It is so simple, but by far turns out to be the best tasting omelet I've ever had! Here's what you need:

-2 or 3 eggs, depending on how big the omelet you want

-Teaspoon of butter or margarine

-A little milk (you can use or not use this, the milk makes it a little fluffier)

-Whatever meat you might want (bacon, sausage, ham, etc.)

-Whatever veggies you might want (green peppers, mushrooms, onions, etc.)

-Pot of water

-Resealable zipper bag (quart storage bags usually work the best).

-Meat thermometer with a clip to hold it to inside of pot

-Shredded cheese

-First off, fill pot of water, and put in thermometer. Heat on medium, until temp reaches 150-175.

-If using bacon or sausage, make sure to cook thoroughly by itself first.

-While water is heating, beat eggs in mixing bowl. Mix in milk, if desired.

-Pour "omelet batter" into quart bag. Add teaspoon of butter. Add meat and veggies. Add cheese (usually enough to make layer over batter).

-Work mixture together with your hand through the bag. Make sure to get all ingredients mixed together thoroughly.

-Seal bag, but leave a corner open and blow a little air into it, as this will help keep it a float in water.

-When water temp is 150-175, put bag into water. Allow to cook for about 20 mins, depending on temp. check periodically, and when you can see that the eggs are cooked, it is done.

-Pour out of bag and enjoy!

I used this camping recently, and now I am cooking omelets this way at home! It is so easy and makes an omelet that is so light and fluffy. DELICIOUS!
