Right from food courts, taxi stands, check out counters at supermarkets and of course toilets, had long waiting time. No regrets…. People seemed to still be patient and carried on to do things with no complaints. That’s patience, a word that does not reflect me! What I also did see was their time spent with the closed ones was less as running their day-to-day chores took most of their free time after work. As a person and an entrepreneur I am, I started to wonder what change could I bring to a place that belongs to a First world country. Whatever I could think of only ended with an answer CONVENIENCE! Convenience in any form that can change their way of lives for one of their main chores that is Grocery shopping. As Retailing of grocery / FMCG has always been close to my heart, I ended up incorporating WPW Pte Ltd that stood for What People Want with a small team and its first service was GOSHOPEASY.COM The service started as a Home delivery service for all grocery items except fresh food wherein we distributed printed catalogs with items and its price…A bit of nuisance to the customers with all the other flyers at their door step including our booklet and ready to get into the garbage bag, we managed to get into the certain homes who took the time to read our Catalog. With an idea of convenience and an affordable way to buy, we struck the right chord with the customers who where willing to try our service. And what we where offering was a door delivery service for orders as low as $25 with a delivery charge of $2.50 anywhere in Singapore that costs lesser than your bus service. What the customer save is, not carrying heavy bags, no waiting in long taxi queues and not buying for $80-$100 to have your items home delivered like other supermarkets do. With an increase in demand for us to move to the online platform, we did successfully roll out our website and a user-friendly shopping cart in a short time. And what you again benefit from us is, you pay only when you receive your items! You still get to shop in your neighborhood supermarket for smaller items with a shorter waiting time, at ease and get your personal time off.
