For so long I dreamed that I could fly   These wings, they don’t cover my pride   My frailty no longer catches this falling body   Sliding through air, now face-down I stare.      Faster I fall, faster I dive into my end   Like Icarus I am falling down.       I’m under the dark clouds of the hopeless night   Against time I shall spread wings for flight   Light never touches my dark fallen angel feathers   Heaven no longer opens its widows for this man.      I no longer feel the stars on my back   The comfort they gave is no longer mine   And I return to ground from which I came   Just a story is all that remains.
