i used to want to get behind   an issue that i knew i'd fight for   now i'm slowly realizing   that it's all in vain   twenty groups for twenty causes   advocate against injustice   and for leaders to be dealt with   rallying in vain      i see the difference makers   handing out their flyer papers   and i see the difference made   and how it's thrown away in vain   the problematic pecking orders   call on student-hero folklore   answering their questions with   a vigil held in vain
