remembering a time when    i had a friend to call my    best and never thinking twice   never thought there would   be a lie   everyday always together   with any luck it'd last forever   but it's not the same   nothing ever works that way   it's not fair   but nothing ever is   why can't they be better off   without it   in their life and    it's killing me it's killing   them it's killing   everybody else   then you turned your    back on me and    never talking except weekends   nothing that's the same   something else had took my    place   every time i saw you from then   just a wave was i would get   that's when when i was sure   things can't be the way they were
