this postcard dated three months ago   is just as hard to read as the day we left from home   and i'm here thinking of those words you'd say   promises don't mean anything    *you wanted this to be   but i'm not sure that anything   could stay the way it seems   cause you know it's not easy      staring back at last years pictures   always helps me to rembember   the nights we spent   and all the things i said but never meant      i never meant for it to be like this
