We both drive home from benton harbor, michigan  with snow-covered headlights,   lost the path  we ended up in strip club parking malls  i dont know why we didnt turn back  with the clear headlights run down 90/94   through indiana's empty promised land  no one had much to say  i wish we would have said more  but we never knew that you wouldnt be here soon.    i dropped you off in a desert of blue screens  with computer palm trees as streetlights  wishing there was on ocean here  there were once mountains in this place  all our friends are hiding in tall buildings like retirement camps  pigeons cant fly away far enough not to freeze  oh, from your point of view i want to be there soon  oh, from your point of view i want to be there soon    from tall buildings we can see illinois mountains fell with me
