Again as I go   Off to this never ending war   My life comes crashing down   Bringing me back where I was before   The family I leave   behind at the gates   waiting for me to return   to show God's grace   I've always been taught   to be selfless and generous   even with my life   but how can you tell someone that   when they have a family and a wife      "You'll drown in your sorrows   and you'll die tomorrow"   A lesson from my child hood   but could it be true   on this battlefield of youth   I think I need to leave this life behind      So tell me where to go   Tell me how to learn to cope   I've left behind my life, my treasures   and watched my funeral from heaven's slopes   A knight of the round table   once so generous with his life   I finally realize   It wasn't worth my death that night.
