I have lived through things unknown   I didn’t not think i'd get home   and here I sit in sweet sunshine   and know all things will pass in time...      I grieve for deaths that haven't happened yet   I watch the garden grow   I have my friends (though few and far between)   I have my friends i've lost      I am a tree roots are my feet   I am a cat that fights   we hope one day we will be free   that day is here take flight      I have a friend who walks with me   he is the first one to be free   he likes to laugh and sing and be with me   he is the first one to be free
