As I was lying on my pillow last night  I saw the strangest sight  A green machine with flashing lights  And as I stared and wondered  What it could be for  Hoping to see more  A Martian came right through my door  "Where have I landed ?  My ship is stranded"     Martian Man, take my hand   We are a part of whatever the stars planned   Let's stick together, whatever they say    And he explained the Earth was no place  No atmosphere, and I could not live there  We both were made with different spheres  And anyway the green man  Couldn't mix with white  And Mars wasn't right  He disappeared into the night  "Where have I landed ?  My ship is stranded"     Martian Man, take my hand   We are a part of whatever the stars planned   Let's stick together, whatever they say    Someday, but look at today (?)  We've only this one  End of the sun  And we'll understand  We will understand, understand     Martian Man, take my hand   We are a part of whatever the planned   Let's stick together, whatever they say    Someday...
