IT DON'T MATTER MUCH  WHO YOU WERE  IT DON'T MATTER MUCH  WHERE YOU'VE BEEN  YEAH, YEAH  IT DON'T MATTER MUCH  WHAT YOU'VE DONE  ALL THAT MATTERS IS WHO YOU ARE TODAY    He was born a beggar in the ghetto  With no clothes to wear  He never went to Yale or Harvard  He grew up on welfare  He never marred a doctor or a lawyer  He never even owned a house  But he knew Jesus as his Lord & Savior  That's how I know he's in Heaven now    She was born an orphan in an alley  She never knew her mother's love  She never knew her earthly father  But she knew of the one above    He was born a baby in a manger  With no clothes to wear  He was sacrificed and sent to Heaven  And one day I will see Him there
