hey, get set for the brand new sound   it’s perfect in every way   unlike any before you’ve found   at least that’s what we’re told to say   hey, we’re smarter than that don’t you know   but you counted the heads so hit play   & assume what you don’t really know   now there’s something that we’d like to say   it’s easy to make up   it’s not hard to fake   watch how they do it to me   this is serious... it’s a big mistake   hey, i grew up with the sound around   spent my summers just listening   with no reason to turn it down   i would listen   now, i've grown up & i understand   target us with a marketing plan   but they’ve seemed to forgotten why   the music’s a lie when the target’s tried   what have we done?   what have we created?   what does this mean?   & how are we gonna make it now?
