It happened so fast,   but it's still not comprehending   through my empty head   full of questions.      When you looked at me,   it was like a blackout.   And when you held my hand,   I was so happy,   and felt so invincible...   but we all know they never last.       I'm still missing our days of cold nights   and warm hands.   Being close to you was like the world to me.      Sure the sappy love songs are over,   sung out and forgotten.   But the memories remain,   even when forgotten.      And it's warm outside tonight    except for your side of the couch.      I'm still missing our days with the lights down    and the music on low.   And minds off.      And now I sit on a cold couch    with the music off,    and my mind on.   And something must have happened    because those words have caffienated me.      So now my book is finished,   but I forget how it's ended.   Maybe it was like all other fairy tales,   "and they lived happily ever after",   but I think it is    "and she lived happily ever after".
