everything that you wanted isn't a thing that you needed.   a perfect car, the brand new house, picket fence.   you know you'll never ever want to   everyone is gonna chase the carrot on a string   not gonna make it   you're almost there but when you achieve it   you know you're never ever gonna   and then you tried it again but you failed   you failed to make sure   everyone is gonna chase the carrot on a string   everyone is gonna chase the carrot on a string   when new possessions become the backdrop of our life   there's a little difference because we can't even tell what was right again
