watching the wind blowing through the trees    a path through the woods on these broken leaves   i smile because I am feeling free   and I know this season is right for me       but something is pulling at my feet   so I turn my back to everything       the sun has arisen, it's getting warm   the woods have prepared for the winter storm   the leaves in the air are playing a song   and suddenly this is where I belong       the voices echo through the air   i'm feeling a change, but I'm staying here   autumn won't be here long   watch as it slips to winter's song       i feel my heart beating inside my chest   it's giving my soul a time to rest   the season is calling out my name   while everything changes, I stay the same   i'm on my knees here can't you see   the autumn song is right for me
