Let me tell you about this man   who wanted to live a very, very long life  so he never smoked, never drank,   only put healthy food in his mouth  he exercised regularly  he had this thing about jogging  well, i have to admit, at 33, he had a very nice body  that sunday morning, though,   his wife tried to hold him up in bed for a cuddle  so she started kissing him, nibbling his ear lobe  nothing would do    he put on his running gear  he put on his running shoes  then he started running, when  out of the blue    it came bang, bang, bang, bang on the door    he never saw the truck that hit him  but in the split second before he passed away,  he saw all the lives he'd never lived,  too scared to hurt his sacred body    all the parties he never went to  all the girls he never kissed  all the laughs he never had  the emotions he never felt  damn!    it came bang, bang, bang, bang on the door    now what can you tell me  who controls our fate  give us just a hint  and stop laughing    ant then there was this other man, same age,  lived his life to the full  parties, jumps, excesses of all kinds,   every day had to be special  but right before his heart took him away  he saw himself growing old  thought: man, it would have been so great  why wouldn't i just slow down    it came bang, bang, bang, bang on the door
