I went south   to a town that was close to the end   but the shadow you cast beat me there   and you know all I want is a place from you   I don't know why the people believe what you say   I guess honesty here ain't the same   when you can't recognize what is red or blue      don't bring me down with you      I went north   to a town that had sold out itself   and would steals from the ones that it helps   and you know all I want is a place that's true   I don't know why these people would kill on a dime   it gets closer to ending each time   well if this is the end it's not god it's you      don't bring me down with you      so this is   the last breath that I'll ever get   so remember the words that we said   cause the lasting effects go beyond this place   we all live   in a world thats divided by fear   fed by tyrants behind smoke and mirrors   but the smoke gives way to a greater truth
