When i was at school a girl wrote a note to me.   She put it right beside my desk.   Just a little note, a little note that she wrote to me.   Yeah and this is what it said      Oh and it said- "I believe in love   Maybe baby you're the one i'm dreaming of   Cause I want you by my side   I'm in love with you and without you    I would not know what to do   Yeah i need you by my side."      The very next day I said, I said to my baby   "Well, well, thank you for that note."   She shrugged her shoulders, said   "Don't worry pretty baby. It's just a little thing that I wrote."      And it said- "I believe in love (oh yeah)   Maybe baby you're the one i'm dreaming of (oh yeah)   Cause I want you by my side   I'm in love with you (oh yeah) and without you    I would not know what to do (oh yeah)   Yeah i need you by my side."      Now I knew she felt like that   And she knew I knew too.   Well now I had the effort, yes to go through.   Yeah I had to plan my attack   I had to make my move.   So I crept up slow and did what I do.      I was standing by my high school locker   when Johnny came on by.   He had a note in is hand.   Johnny what you got there?   It was a note she wrote to another guy.      And it said- "I believe in love (oh yeah)   Maybe baby you're the one i'm dreaming of (I believe in love) (oh yeah)   Cause I want you by my side   (I said I want you by my side)   I'm in love with you (oh yeah) and without you    i would not know what to do(I would not know what to do) (oh yeah)   Yeah i need you by my side.   (I said I need you by my side)"      Well now I knew she felt like that   And she knew I knew too.   Well now I had the effort, yes to go through.   Yeah I had to plan my attack   I had to make my move.   So I crept up slow and did what I do.
