the skies were furious.   booming electric and on fire.   they explode in anger at this unsettling world.   the rain pours from the sky   as emotion imitates and floods   ....your eyes.....   these lifeboats have washed ashore empty.   and these raging waters are heavy.   weighed down in this ocean of heartache.   patiently overturning with every wave break.   these love scorched lips are all i have left.   slowly the gentle waters rise above my head.   words roll off my tongue and fall to the floor   shattered by deaf ears.   tonight we'll trace our landscapes and water them   in our tears.
