The nite was dark   but now its clear   and i can see    It was just as i feared      ive bottled it and saved it    this time, this time      and when i feel too alive   my ego is in overdrive   i take a sip from my bottle   and remember      the endless water that connected us   is all that connected us   and the cold sand that held us together   is a harsh reminder in my shoes months later      i can still see the moon in the water but ur nowhere to be seen   ur nowhere to be seen      this sand holds nothing for me but broken shells and cigarettes from the    broken hearted
