I thought we were meant to be together, but lord it wasn't in your plan    And now somehow I've got to try and understand    But my hearts been broken and it's bleeding real hard    I hold on tight to make sure I don't loose all I got    But there's nothing I can do the flow won't stop    And if something don't give, well man I'm gonna drop    The pains so deep, feels like there's no way out    As I look to the sky my heart starts to shout    Why Lord did you lead me on this way    You had me fall so far and then you had her walk away       But, but hold up there's more, this isn't the end    There's more to life then I can understand    The Lord, the Lord he's got a plan,    He's got a plan for my life that will prosper me in the end       So finally I open my eyes and look to the sky    Say Lord reveal your plan, help me understand    Give me eyes to see, so I can finally be    Walkin' straight down the path on which you want me    My mind knows this is in your plan, but my heart don't want to agree    Because it's been blinded by the pain from which it would like to be set free    So as the blinders of my heart raise I start to see    Though I may not see it now, this will all work for the good of me      So now some time has passed, I see the fruition of your plan   And the ways you work things out when it was hard to comprehend   You filled me with your presence when I could barely stand    You helped me walk the path in faith    When I couldn't see where each step would land      Walking by faith and not by sight    You lead me down the path to the place I am tonight   When I least expected it, I had no idea it was the time   That's when you brought me my sunshine   Now I can see parts of your plan, looking back I can see the path   Its finally making sense to me, I'm happy to be where I'm at   You've taught me a whole lot, prepared and purified my heart   Put this woman in my path, and asked us both to start   Walking the path together, following your voice wherever it leads   Because you've shown us where it leads is where we want to be   Lesson taught, lesson learned, lesson gladly received   I thank you Lord for wanting to prosper me
