From the time they named him Golden Wing he heard the oceans' wish to bury him in sand and hold him to the land. So, time has left him so unsure and now "she" senses it and marches to the shore, and he knows what she's coming for.      He looks at himself and sees two shining, golden wings and he looks to the sky and vows,      "Before I grow too old, I'm gonna prove my worth in gold... I have walked the ground on my two feet, reluctantly, cuz' they said to me, 'you can't fly Golden Wing.' So, I'm prepared to show what I've come to know, so look out below, cuz' tonight I'm gonna fly these golden wings"      Now he knows his flight will be the first and the last of the flights they'll see cuz' he knows there's a place for him where gold colors everything. And so they all form a crowd. They're gathering 'round with their warnings and their doubts that ideas of this kind are sound, should they ever leave the ground.      "I guess it's time to say 'goodbye' as I'm off to sail the great, blue sky. With room allowed for just two things, my dignity and pride I bring. I hope that now your lesson is learned and you're dealing with the guilt you've earned. You may forget the words that I now sing but you'll always remember the flight of Golden Wing"      A man is not a man 'til he's decided to push logic aside to make room for his pride.   And so, they all feel no surprise when he falls from the sky and proves them all right.
