how can we trust our reflections when a mirror can't say who we are?   the face in the glass only says one thing, we've stared too long at the sun.      our mouths are so dry and thirsty   and rainfall is nowhere near us      our bodies, hollow shells like housings for our last remains, are just caskets   this evening, when the moon's exposed us, our faces are just headstones      our mouths are so terribly dry and thirsty   and rainfall has never been more of a blessing   we're searching for cliff sides near oceans to leap from      the birds say flight is so overrated   the air is the same as the ground beneath us   freedom is just an idea we're chained to   so clip my wings and lead me to water      our mouths are so dry and thirsty   and rainfall is no where near us   we're searching for an ocean   a body to sustain us
