About Us

Mustafa has seen impressive growth since its inception. The first shop was established in 1971 in Campbell Lane in Little India, selling ready made garments. In April 1995, Mustafa Center became a reality and immediately became a Shopping Paradise to many people. Weekends, the store packs in over 15,000 customers of all nationalities. Today, customers can get almost anything from over 75,000 items displayed on four levels covering an area of 70,000 Sq.ft within the six story building which houses a hotel with 130 tastefully furnished rooms that say "Shop and Stay" under one roof, along Syed Alwi Road.

Mohd. Mustafa Stores is just like a Temple for all Indians. All Indian visitors come to this stores in the morning before venturing outside for any site-seeing or shopping. There they meet / mingle with other Indian visitors / friends. Then they take morning breakfast and tea / coffee at nearby Indian Restaurants like Annapoorna, India House, etc. Same way, they come back to this stores in the evening / night after seeing Singapore & shopping elsewhere. Most Indians like to shop in this Indian looking stores as they feel at home there. Then they go to their Hotels / House / Rooms for overnight stays nearby. Most Indians prefer to stay nearby to Mohd. Mustafa Stores. As we Indians go to the temples in the morning and evening everyday, like wise, when we Indians are visiting Singapore, we visit Mohd. Mustafa Centre daily in the morning and evening. It really resembles to Indian Temple.
