ROCKU Yakiniku, a casual, upbeat and edgy Yakiniku restaurant at the new Bugis+. Delivering a fresh concept to traditional Yakiniku joints, ROCKU Yakiniku defies convention by melding a traditional style of Japanese dining with modern entertainment, perfectly characterizing Japanese pop culture.

Guest can savour their food hot throughout the entire meal, and there’s no better way to enjoy the tantalizing cuts of meat, ranging from beef to pork and chicken. Flown in from the USA, Australia and Japan, premium cuts such as Wagyu beef brisket, Australian sirloin and short ribs cater to all meat lovers.

ROCKU also entertains and enthralls its guests with modern music of Korean, Japanese and Mandarin Pop-Rock variety.

Unlike your usual Japanese BBQ with mundane interior design, ROCKU is significantly larger in size, and more thoughtful in designing the place to bring a warmer and street-style atmosphere to you. Overall, for the food included in the platter, i think it's really worth the money.

Their buffet dinner are priced at $27.90++ and $15.90++ (kids under 9 years old) and with more than 30 dishes to choose from! Additional $3 on weekends, eve of Public Holidays and Public Holidays. What's more, they even have Live Music by Regine+Ernest every Wednesday and Friday from 7pm!

At ROCKU Yakiniku in Bugis+, you'll get to taste premium cuts of beef such as US ribeye, Australian short ribs, wagyu beef brisket and beef tongue for less than $20 per serving. Other dishes on the menu include grilled vegetables, donburi, udon and agemono.The charcoals which the restaurant provided were white-hot, which any self-respecting BBQ-lover would know that it's the perfect coal temperature for BBQ. The food took a while to reach us but I was quite happy with its quality. The meats were fresh and well marinated. I loved the salmon in particular. Though the restaurant was like 60% full and with everyone BBQ-ing, there's no smell at all! It turns out that all the smoke is sucked below the charcoal stove.
