Shannon Joy Music Centre was established in 2001 in Sungai Buloh, Selangor, Malaysia. There are plans to open 2 more new branches in Petaling Jaya and Bandar Sri Damansara in the future. With the motto "Bringing Out the Music in You" the services offered are music lessons, ensemble playing, classes for adults, group teaching, music accompanist, music tuition for college students, training pianists for church services and many more. Specialty
Music Lessons Piano lessons are available for everyone. If you have a keen interest to learn and a piano (or keyboard), then come on board Shannon Joy Music Centre. You will have a chance to learn timeless soothing classical music from Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin to music from Broadway, West End and the movies. These include famous compositions of Gershwin, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Rodgers and Hammerstein. Enjoyment of music is paramount, examinations are optional. Bring along friends, relatives and family members. Make music in a group and take the boredom and grind out of practises. Occasionally, we receive requests to learn church music and world music from different countries. We are happy to oblige. Music is universal, without borders. Online music lessons are something new which has just been launched. You will need a computer with broadband connection, webcam and speakers. These lessons are for people who cannot find a suitable music educator near them to cater to their needs and for those who wish to have an occasional masterclass to monitor their progress. Music Services We provide music on special occasions too, such as birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, annual dinner and many more. In addition, we can accompany vocalists, instrumentalists and dancers for performances and examinations. Churches which do not have sufficient pianists may also send their members to be trained to play during worship, Sunday schools and choir practises. We offer group tuition to college music students who may need assistance with their lectures, assignments and concert performances. It is also very important for final year music students to publish their thesis and dissertation. Publications of research and projects not only enhance the resume, they also add to the ever increasing knowledge on various aspects of music and give due credit to the researcher.
